Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Academy, a private Catholic school for grades K through 12 and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, operates under the guidelines of the United States District of the Society of St. Pius X. Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of hiring of personnel, admissions, or any other school administered programs.
The Academy accepts as boarding students boys and girls in grades eight through twelve. Boarding Boys live on campus, while Boarding Girls live at the convent with Sister Mary John, I.H.M. or with a local family. These arrangements are made solely at the discretion of the Principal.
The first step in applying to BVM Academy is to contact the Principal directly. He can be reached at (315) 320-4085 x 23.
The application and enrollment forms should be sent in with a $50 Application Fee ($100 [USD] for foreign students – See FOREIGN STUDENT POLICY).
New students, especially boarding students, may be asked to take an Entrance Exam. This exam is to be proctored by the potential student’s local pastor (or the equivalent thereof).
We also require a Letter of Recommendation from the new student’s pastor (or the equivalent thereof).
Current Transcripts need to be forwarded to BVM Academy as well.
Once all these items (Application, Application Fee, Enrollment Forms, Entrance Exam, Letter of Recommendation, and Transcripts) have been received by the Academy, a decision will be made and the potential student will be notified regarding his admission. Since spots fill up quickly, it is recommended that all items be turned in as soon as possible.
1 Foreign applicants should refer to the school’s Foreign Student Policy.
